Please Note: This help document uses verbiage and screenshots from Divi 4. Divi 5 has somewhat updated builder visuals and button verbiage but most of this document remains true for Divi 5 sites.
When building a WordPress site, Cole uses a theme called Divi. Divi creates the visuals of your site via a WYSIYG (What You See Is What You Get) block editor, which means that the layout of your website is built using small contained modules, with lots of settings applied to each.
Divi is developed by ElegantThemes. I highly recommend checking their help documents and tutorials if you want to learn more.
Editing Evergreen Content
Content on the pages of your site can be edited using your theme, Divi. To update this content, first sign in to your site
using your Admin Login and then navigate to the page you want to edit.
While signed in, you will see the gray WordPress admin bar at the top of the page.
When viewing a front-end page, you will see a “Enable Visual Editor” button. Clicking this button will reload the page in the Divi editor.

The Divi editor will allow you to access individual Divi Modules that make up your site. Clicking the gear icon on any module menu will open the settings for that module.
Divi Modules:
There are 4 different categories of modules you may encounter on your Divi site:

1) Blue Boxes are Sections.
Sections are the largest containers of your site, they hold Rows.
2) Green Boxes are Rows.
Rows have built-in columns and they hold Modules.
3) Dark Gray Boxes are Modules.
Module are the most varied type of Divi Block and they hold all sorts of content.
4) Neon Green Boxes are ‘global’ modules
Global modules live in multiple places on your site and will be updated everywhere when edited.

If you ever see a divi module that appears to be grayed out, that means it is disabled on some screen sizes. You can still edit this module as normal using the gear icon. Use the vertical dots menu on a module to “Enable” or “Disable” on different screen sizes.
